Hi there!

Today our workshop has been visited by this VW Transporter from 2011 with 2.0 diesel engine.
The owner suspected firstly problem with a blocked DPF, but to confirm his fears he booked an appointment for free turbo inspection.

Our free turbo inspection is a service dedicated to everyone who has issues with the turbocharger. Our policy says “No Solution? NO PAY!” which simply means that we won’t charge you if we couldn’t find a solution for your vehicle.

Inspection

So we begin with an inspection. Firstly we confirmed that DPF is blocked which lead to turbocharger damage. To high pressure on the exhaust side caused the turbine overheating. This, in turn, leads to the carbon build up and turbocharger damage. Also, this van wasn’t serviced regular and was driven mostly in the city. This speeds up carbon build-up process. 

If you are driving your diesel vehicle in the city we do suggest to take it on motorway once a month and do a 20 miles journey on ~3000 RPM to burn all soot from turbo and exhaust system.

Turbo Reconditioning & Fitting

Along with turbocharger replacement we drain old engine oil and replace air and oil filters, then we fill the engine with brand new oil. We also replace feed pipes for new ones to ensure that oil pressure and flow will be correct. Additionally, we will inspect and clean the breathing system and turbo intercooler.

All of our turbochargers are balanced up to 250,000 RPM on the latest VSR machine. Correctly done balancing is very important for the best performance and long-lasting.
